Karun Thapa is THE FIRST Avid Feature Film Editor in Nepal who introduced Avid Film Editing 1995. He started Avid Film editing and proved to the local market that feature films can be edited on computers. It was the same time when Bollywood film industry also was struggling to prove the same.

Karun has educated and produced other (second generation) editors who are now taken over the responsibility of editing Nepalese films on AVID.
